So I'm looking over the desktop icons on my work computer, and notice up in one corner a little icon I haven't used in AGES.
Hello, what's that? Hmm...
So, I just had to go and see how well it handled my webpage.
Er - not very well. Not surprisingly.
So then I decided to head over to Real Life Comics since Greg Dean recently converted the site over to a new CSS-based layout.
A valiant - er, something. Or other.
That got me thinking about the ACID 2 test.
Well... that's not even close. But then again, some of the standards that it can't handle weren't even out when that browser was built!
So that was my fun look back at how far we've come in the past several years. I remember having to bend over backwards to support Netscape Communicator, and I'm really quite glad that those years are over. The web has evolved quite a bit since then.
