And that's it, PAX East is now officially over. It was a great three days (and an exhausting three days), but it's all over.
Today I spent most of my time in the expo hall trying to catch all the little things I missed. Started the day out with some Star Trek Catan, which is a Star Trek movie themed version of Settlers of Catan. (Star Trek I-VI, not the reboot.) It's basically identical, but with the edition of special cards representing various crew members that give you special abilities. For example, Scotty makes it easier to build new star ships (roads) by allowing you to swap out one of the required resources for any other resource. It's an interesting version for "true" Star Trek fans (I guess), but I personally didn't see the reason to get it if you already have the original Catan.
I'm trying to remember what else I saw on the expo floor that would be worth blogging about, but I'm currently coming up blank. I'll try and fill in more later.
I also attended a panel on preserving video gaming history by the American Classic Arcade Museum, which is an interesting look back at how few old classic arcade games survived and how they're maintaining them to bring these old games to new players.
That's all I'm going to post right now, I'll (probably forget to) update this with more stuff later.
Update: here are some pictures I took.
