Site Upgraded
It's been a while, but I've finally gotten around to updating the website. Some things may not be working quite properly for a bit.

I resisted doing this for the longest time, but, well - it's just really not possible to have a publicly accessible website and not protect it with CAPTCHAs.
So now CAPTCHAs are required for creating accounts and posting comments.
I hope you're happy, spammers.
It's a new year, which means its time for a new theme! I'm sure there are some bugs left to work out, but this new theme is CSS3 up the wazoo, with a ton of neat new features like some effort put into implementing a "responsive design" that changes with page sizes.
I've only tried the new theme in Firefox 17 and Internet Explorer 10 for now. I'm pleased to say that everything just works in IE10. All the CSS3 things that I'm doing in Firefox worked exactly the same in IE10. Nice!
Happy Earth Day 2011!
A reminder that Dreamhost, the hosting provider running this site, is a green provider, which means that this site is (slightly) less bad for the Earth than those other, useful websites you visit!
Yay!
Dreamhost, the hosting provider I used, suffered some down time earlier today that brought the site down.
It's now back up and running and everything appears to be working again.
I've updated the site to use Drupal 7. You should notice new features such as ... well... nothing, really. There are still some quirks I need to fix with the redone theme, but for the most part, the site is up and running Drupal 7.
I've been working on updating the site to use Drupal 7. You might notice that at present, it's still using Drupal 6. There's a reason for that: it hasn't been exactly a smooth process.
First off, you're going to want to make sure you disable any custom modules and custom themes. They won't work initially. Then set your current theme to Garland.
So far, I've run into two empty tables that block the update process. I'm not sure what created them, but it's safe to just drop them: role_permission and date_format_type. (Update: Drupal 7 created them, and the MySQL script I was running to "reset" the database wasn't clearing everything.)
Drupal 7.0 is out! I guess it's time for me to get around to upgrading the site. Eventually.
I might as well throw up the existing Christmas theme for the site. I'm aware that it's hard to read text over the background on certain devices and will be replacing it eventually. But for now, I might as well throw up what I've got rather than waiting until it's way too late.
Update: I've killed the offending background. You may need to refresh to force the stylesheet to reload.
OK, so after yet another week of cut-and-paste long-block-of-text "comics," I'm finally getting around to removing Real Life Comics from the webcomics page. It hasn't been funny in ages, and the only reason it was left up was due to momentum.
Plus, Greg Dean has committed the cardinal sin of webcomics: he made a half-assed webcomic, and then decided he wanted it to be his career.
