Skillchains Extension 0.9.0 Released

It's been a while since I've released a new version, so here it is.

This release contains one new feature: the ability to select multiple weapons for a given player. A version 0.9.1 will allow you to sign individual skill levels for the weapons.

This version also does what I threatened to do ages ago: support for versions of Firefox prior to 1.0 is dropped.

New Look!

As you can probably tell, I've changed the way the pages look. You can (almost) change the style back, if you want to, by using the Style Chooser in Mozilla or Opera. If you use IE, you can just live with the change. :)

Update: The content columns used to be fixed width, meaning that if your browser wasn't sized exactly like mine it would look weird. I've since updated and changed it so that the content column flows to fill up the space and the sidebars take up less room.

I've also moved the "welcome" post over to the sidebar.

My Blog Is Now Up

Well, I've been playing around with the software, and my blog is now available.

New Smilies!

No real point to this, but I've updated some of the existing smilies (since I think they look bad) and added two new ones:

:wtf: - Huh?!
:bigcry: - Whaaa!

Updated ones include :D, :), 8),, :P, and .

( could use some work, but I never could come up with a good version.)

Look, Ma, New Software

After considering many different designs for how to set up a dynamic homepage and how to handle various templating and user information, I finally...

...took the easy way out and installed phpBB and a custom mod I had already created.

This means I can easily create new front page posts simply by posting stuff using the phpBB interface.

Yay! I guess.

This means that all the "existing" news posts are now marked as having been posted all today. I might get around to resetting the dates back to something more reasonable... but probably not. Honestly, it's not really worth the effort.

Welcome

Wow - I haven't updated this site in ages. Anyway, I'm updating it now. The real problem is that at some point I intended to replace the home page with some blog-like software, and I've never really gotten around to doing that.

Anyway, some new things. First off, you can muck around with my Final Fantasy XI Wiki. Not much useful information in there right now, but feel free to change that. :)

I've also got a bunch of Mozilla-based stuff.

DragonRaiders Webpage

Update: The LinkShell has since dissolved, the forums have been moved here.

I play Final Fantasy XI on the Phoenix server, so I currently host the DragonRaiders' Forums.

Enjoy!

Video Game Ringtones

I've uploaded some ring tones obtained from various MIDI files I found around the web. (I have no idea where though, these are fairly old.)

So point your web-enabled phone to http://www.xenoveritas.org/wap/ and enjoy the custom ring tones!

Update 2007: The mobile site has been updated to use XHTML (so older phones won't work) and moved to http://mobile.xenoveritas.org/.

Web Comics

Well, I've uploaded my web comics page. It contains links to several web comics, and automatically checks and unchecks them based on whether the current day is a day when the comic should be updated.

Take a look.

MozTris

MozTris is a Tetris-like game, implemented as JavaScript using the HTML 4.01 strict and CSS 2.0 standards. It doesn't work in Internet Explorer for a variety of reasons (it doesn't properly support the PNG standard, among others), but users of Mozilla based browsers and the Opera browser can enjoy playing this game.

So, go try it out.
